One Little Word 2018

GRACE … grace grace … GRACE!

GRACE! My One Little Word for 2018. Studying grace, giving grace to myself and my family & receiving God’s grace. Happy New Year friends! What is your guiding word for 2018? This word found me at Story Camp in Oregon in October. I found this gorgeous bracelet by Laurel Denise and the color spoke to me but not really the word. It wasn’t until I wore it a few times and whispered to myself GRACE when I was upset with my kids, berating myself for a mistake or not being in the word as much as I wanted to that I realized GRACE was my word. Looking forward to a year of exploring GRACE.

Speaking of grace, I am giving myself grace and time to step back from blogging for awhile. I will come back to it when the time is right.

For the LOVE

Friends this is my last layout for the Ali Edwards Creative Team. Love seems fitting.

Here is the journaling

2017 expanded and pushed me creatively in the best way! I am so excited to have found and embraced my personal memory keeping style. And I am looking forward to practicing and growing in 2018!

Project Life Week 45

Week 45 was spent at home with sick boys. And also Jacob’s half birthday!

One thing I love about 6×8 albums is the 3×8 inserts. On one side I told the story about 4 1/2 year old Jacob. On the opposite side I wrote a summary of our week.

I documented in mostly black and white and this will be something I will do more often. I love how the embellishments pop against the black and white. I love how the story is the forefront. And I am digging this size album!

Project Life switch Week 44

This is my 4th year of doing project life. I am ready to change it up. Instead of waiting until 2018, I made the change mid year to 6×8. I love the smaller size!

The first week I completed was partially spent in Disneyland. I used Ali Edwards Day in the life kit to journal a few numbers specific to our trip. I love documenting this way.

I also used some of the Gather because the colors and sentiments matched perfect.

I am excited to document more in this smaller size!

Project life week 46

This new album size rocks! Here is our week 46!

Dylan is doing indoor soccer for the first time. I am not a calm enough sideline parent to be a goalie mom! Wow that was intense! (Can you see my reflection in the photo? Kinda neat)

I journaled the story under the photo and you use the tab to lift up the photo to read it. This is one of my favorite tricks for adding more story without another page.

Jacob has been sneaking into bed with me early in the morning because his feet are cold! I am thankful to my mother in law who found bigger kid footie pjs to keep this kid asleep!

Dylan recently started writing “books”. I borrowed this one to make a copy before he noticed so I could include it in our album. These little handwriting bits are my favorites!

More project life to come this week. Thanks for Joining me!
